SUCCESS IS A JOURNEY

A Successful Man

The will of every Human being is to be successful. This has led us to developing many means of achieving this desirous goal. Over the pages of history, few people were able to beat their chest in affirming that "I AM A SUCCESS". The height of the success attained by a man can be gauged, and its measured by the number of lives influenced and not destroyed or deprived of breeding space by him. In different parts of the globe, several lives is continually celebrated from time primeval till now, based on their ability to vehemently ride the tides of waves stirred by soul-bending Masters. Among these Legends is Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Junior. The list is endless, but just to save the page of continuous enumerations, and the next on the list could just be you. What is it that distinguished these Icons? We can boldly say that they were not self centered.

Mahatma Gandhi
Born Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi on October 2, 1869 in Porbandar, Kathiawar, West India. He studied law in London, but in 1893 went to South Africa, where he spent 20 years opposing discriminatory legislation against Indians. He became a leader of India's independence movement, organizing boycotts against British institutions in peaceful forms of civil disobedience. He was given the holy name Mahatmas and oversaw a diverse ashram. As a pioneer of Satyagraha, through mass non-violent civil disobedience, he became one of the major political and spiritual leaders of his time. Satyagraha (truth force or truth insistence) remains one of the most potent philosophies in freedom struggles throughout the world today. He was killed by a fanatic in 1948.  .
Quote:
"An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind."

Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela

Nelson Mandela was born on July 18, 1918 in Transkei, South Africa. He became actively involved in the anti-apartheid movement and joined the African National Congress in 1942. For 20 years, he directed a campaign of peaceful, non-violent defiance against the South African government and its racist policies. In 1990, Mandela was released from prison and by 1994 inaugurated as the country's first black president. In 2009 Mandela's birthday, July 18, was designated as Mandela Day, an international celebration of his legacy and a day dedicated to promoting global peace. Quote: "With freedom comes responsibilities, and I dare not linger, for my long walk is not yet ended."

Martin Luther King Jr.
Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia. King, both a Baptist minister and civil-rights activist, had a seismic impact on race relations in the United States, beginning in the mid-1950s. Among many efforts, King headed the SCLC - Southern Christian Leadership Conference. Through his activism, he played a pivotal role in ending the legal segregation of African-American citizens in the South and other areas of the nation, as well as the creation of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. King received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964, among several other honors. King was assassinated in April 1968, and continues to be remembered as one of the most lauded African-American leaders in history, often referenced by his 1963 speech, "I Have a Dream." Quote: "I've seen the promised land. I may not get there with you. But                                                                   I want you to know tonight that we, as a people, will get to the promised land."

I would have included your picture
among these great people of all time. But what have
you done to merit this and whose life have you touched to improve? Its not too late for you to start living more of people's centred than me, myself and I centred. Remember that  if we should
go by the destructive rule of "an eye for an eye",
then, you might have been blind now.

LET'S CHOOSE TRUTH FORCE AND NOT VIOLENCE

These people were once a child. We can say that they once cried as a baby, but when they live and lived the pages of their lives, certain decisions were made secretly which became openly revealed. Whatever you are doing today, it will be revealed at the appropriate time. People can see you, even if you are not aware.
